AI Learning Courses for Kids

At Young Engineers UAE, our AI-based coding programme empowers teens aged 13 to 18 to go beyond basic code and explore the real logic behind intelligent machines. Through a dynamic blend of robotics, embedded systems, and algorithmic thinking, students master core computer science concepts while building and coding their own machines using C - the powerful language behind most modern electronics, automation, and AI.

This course is designed for students who are ready to take their coding journey to the next level. With structured challenges, collaborative projects, and deep dives into intelligent systems, AlgoC prepares teens not just to follow technology but to create it.

Perfect for afterschool enrichment or advanced school-based programmes, AlgoC delivers future-focused learning in a practical, engaging way that mirrors real-world engineering.

Our AI Training Courses for Kids

AlgoC

Ages 13–18

AlgoC is a hands-on robotics and AI coding course designed for students who are ready to build real systems and learn real code. Using C language and the Arduino IDE, participants develop both hardware understanding and software logic, starting from basic syntax and structure to advanced tasks like multithreading, sensor control, and AI-inspired behavior.

Throughout 36 lessons, each 90 minutes in length, students work in teams to build mechanical robots and program them to perform intelligent actions. Whether designing a home automation system, a motion-based character robot, or a smart transport model, students learn how machines make decisions based on logic and environmental input.

Alongside robotics, students are introduced to foundational AI principles. They begin to understand how data and logic structures influence intelligent behavior, creating programs that simulate smart actions using conditionals, loops, and function planning. At key milestones, students work with Practivo, a dedicated training robot, to practice core concepts in a focused environment before applying them to larger group projects.

As they explore smart coding, robotics construction, and embedded logic, students develop not only technical mastery, but confidence, creativity, and critical thinking.

Encounter the Future Through AI and Robotics Courses for Kids

AlgoC is more than just a robotics programme, it’s a stepping stone into the future of intelligent technology. Each unit introduces a new concept in both robotics and software development, combining theoretical knowledge with immediate hands-on application. By writing code that controls sensors, motors, and logic branches, students see how abstract lines of code turn into real-world functionality.

Working with the Arduino platform, students gain experience that mirrors the tools used in universities, research labs, and industry projects. Concepts like input/output control, signal processing, feedback loops, and autonomous behavior are taught in a way that’s challenging, but accessible.

The programme also fosters teamwork and peer learning. Students collaborate on design challenges, brainstorm together to debug their code, and share presentations on their intelligent systems. These collaborative moments build communication skills and reinforce the importance of team-based problem solving, essential in the world of technology.

Trusted Education Backed by Global Standards

AlgoC is taught by trained instructors with expertise in robotics, C programming, and teen education. The course is part of the globally recognised Young Engineers network, trusted by educators and families across more than 50 countries. All sessions are delivered in accordance with UAE’s safety, quality, and educational regulations and supported by internationally recognised certification:

The Best AI Courses for Kids

The models built in AlgoC span a wide range of interests and use cases. Students design and code robotic devices inspired by daily life, smart home tools, interactive animal characters, transportation automation, and simulation games that test both code accuracy and mechanical precision.

Each project challenges students to combine mechanical design with structured code, often adding layers of logic to simulate “smart” responses. The programme introduces students to the early building blocks of AI by showing how code can lead to adaptive or decision-making behavior. Even without using complex AI frameworks, students gain a solid understanding of what makes machines behave intelligently and how to design those systems themselves.

Whether they're crafting a challenge-based game or debugging a system that mimics an animal’s senses, students experience what it’s like to create not just a robot, but a robot that thinks.

Skills for Future Innovators and Engineers

AlgoC prepares students with the kind of skills that are in demand across science, engineering, and digital industries. By learning how to build and code intelligent machines, they gain an edge in future academic paths like computer science, engineering, AI, and robotics.

They also develop critical soft skills - team collaboration, resilience, structured thinking, and creative decision-making. As they progress through the course, students are challenged to think critically, test hypotheses, and refine their logic through trial and error. These experiences don’t just build coding ability, they cultivate confidence and self-reliance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age group is AlgoC best for?

AlgoC is designed for teenagers aged 13 to 18 who are interested in robotics, real-world coding, and AI. It’s ideal for students ready to move beyond block coding and into structured text-based programming using C, the foundational language of robotics and embedded systems.

No prior coding experience is necessary, although a basic comfort with logic and computers is helpful. The programme begins with clear, step-by-step instruction in C and Arduino basics, gradually introducing complexity as students gain confidence. With guidance from certified instructors, students learn everything they need to succeed, regardless of their starting point.

Students will build a range of robots inspired by real-life applications: smart home tools, character-based robots, transportation systems, and challenge simulations. They’ll write structured code to control each robot’s sensors, motors, and responses – gaining hands-on experience in both mechanics and intelligent system programming.

While students won’t code full-scale AI algorithms, they will explore how machines mimic intelligent behavior using C. Through structured challenges, they write code that includes conditions, loops, and sensor responses, helping them understand the logic behind decision-making machines. These foundational skills prepare them for more advanced AI exploration in high school or university.

Parents receive regular updates including session overviews, progress reports, and photos of student projects. There are also periodic demonstration days where students present their coded robots and explain the logic behind their builds. These updates provide insight into both technical learning and the personal growth students experience throughout the course.
